I am an astronomer working in the field of extragalactic astrophysics. My research interest focuses mainly on galaxy formation and evolution.

I am Italian, I was born in Trieste, then I moved to Padova where I was awarded my master degree (2008) and Ph.D. (2012) in Astronomy by The Universita' degli Studi di Padova. During my master degree, I spent 6 months in Tenerife, during my Ph.D. I moved for 5 months to Pasadena and for 4 to Nottigham.

I subsequently moved to Doha (Qatar) for a short-term appointment at the Carnegie Mellon University Qatar and from October 2012 to October 2015 I had an appoitment as project researcher at the KAVLI IPMU, The University of Tokyo.

In January 2016 I became a DECRA Fellow at the University of Melbourne.

In November 2016 I was awarded a permanent position at INAF-Oapd as Staff Researcher. I moved back to Italy in Spring 2018.

As you may have guessed, I really enjoy traveling and, as soon as I feel at home in a place, the recurring question is What's next?
